Q. How can I clean/disinfect the 3M™ Versaflo™ Powered Air Purifying Respirators?
A. Versaflo TR-600 PAPR: With the use of TR-653 Cleaning and Storage Plugs, the TR-600 can be rinsed under running water, immersed in water for up to 30 minutes at 1 meter, or put in a respirator washer. Please reference the TR-600 User Instructions (PDF, 1.86 MB) and TR-653 Cleaning and Storage Guide for further details.

A. The TR-3710N has been discontinued and has been directly replaced with the TR-3712N.

Q. When will the multi-gas cartridge for the 3M™ Versaflo™ TR-600 PAPR be available?
A: The TR-6590N Multi-Gas Cartridge launching in 2018. This is the first-ever NIOSH-approved, multigas PAPR cartridge approved for use against mercury. It is also approved for use against: particulates, chlorine dioxide, chlorine, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, sulfur dioxide, ammonia, methylamine, certain organic vapors.

Q. Is the filter cover necessary to operate the 3M™ Versaflo™ TR-600 or TR-800 PAPR unit?
A: No. At a minimum, each NIOSH-approved configuration of this PAPR system should include approved headgear or facepiece, breathing tube, motor/blower, filter/cartridge, battery, and a belt or backpack. Common accessories include prefilter/spark arrestor and filter cover. Please refer to the supplied User Instructions.

Q. What is the cartridge service life for the 3M™ Versaflo™ TR-600 and TR-800 cartridges?
A. It all depends on your specific application and environment - See these two reference materials for assistance the TR-600 Service Life Letter (PDF, 37.86 KB) and the Service Life Software

Q. Do you sell just the storage bag that is included in the 3M™ Versaflo™ TR-300/TR-600 PAPR Healthcare Kits?
A. Yes, the bag can be purchased a la carte, the part number is TR-991.

Q. We’ve heard that the 3M™ Air-Mate™ High Efficiency Belt-Mounted PAPR has been discontinued– what is the suggested replacement?
A: Yes, the Air-Mate full kits and assemblies were discontinued in mid-2017. The direct replacement would be the 3M™ Versaflo™ TR-300+ PAPR.

Q. Are there any kits/packouts that include the 3M™ Versaflo™ M-400 headtop?
A. Not at this time, only M-200 and M-300 (PDF, 1017.93 KB) series Headtops are included in kits.

A. Yes, please reference the 9100 Series with TR-600 Product Announcement (PDF, 93.04 KB). For proper configurations, always consult the NIOSH approval label.
